Bio

Kim believes in helping students experience the joy of music making by giving them foundational knowledge, introducing them to inspirational music and providing continual positive encouragement.  Having a solid technical foundation is just as important as developing a strong musical knowledge, but neither of these matter if a student is not having fun along the way!  Kim strives to give her students a well-rounded musical education while also finding the specific aspects of music that make each student come alive.

Kim’s teaching experience began over 30 years ago after achieving accreditation with the Royal Conservatory of Music.  She graduated from the University of Windsor and finished her teaching pedagogical education with the RCM . Kim is also continuing her advanced education with the Conservatory as she aims to further sharpen her skills as a teacher and performer.
